Java/J2EE Web Developer Description:
The Java Developer will be responsible for the technical planning, design, programming, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of systems application software. The Java Developer is accountable for software quality and service level agreements. They will perform systems analysis and design of projects that meet business needs and consult with Business Owners on new projects. The Developer will support collection and reporting of project and software metrics, analyze information systems encompassing potential user contact- including goals, problem complexity and feasibility study, logic design and detailed systems flowcharting, analysis of input-output flow, hardware study, forms layout, resource evaluation, and cost and time analysis. They will participate in implementation, including maintenance, vendor product information transfer, user allocation, file design, coding, error removal, logic optimization, systems re-evaluation, testing, user approval, final corrections, and program and run time documentation. The Java Developer will write, debug, diagram, create flowcharts, code, and document programs, prepare technical project plans, and incorporate development costs and tasks of the various technical components. They will support Disaster Recovery testing and evaluate requests to determine technical feasibility, develop technical alternatives and recommend optimal technical solutions for both internal staff and vendors.
The Java/J2EE Developer will have:

Experience Required:
Must have 2 - 4 years of commercial experience and in depth technical expertise on Java server side programming. Similar client-side experiences a definite plus.
Must have extensive project experience - designing, coding and deploying J2EE projects. Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE/EJB and Internet Application development skills are necessary.
Must have Framework (Application/Infrastructure) design/coding experience.
Struts Framework
Must have heavy design backgrounds using UML and Rational Unified Process (RUP).
Must have proven capabilities in understanding architectures of J2EE based enterprise products and subsequently implementing them.
Must have the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel.
Experience in the translation of business requirements to functional requirements required.
Prior experience mentoring a team of software engineers/developers a plus.
Experience with SQL, solid Oracle/Unix skills, Rational Application Developer programs is a plus.
J2EE and Java Certifications, web-based reporting, use of WebSphere and Lotus Domino are a plus, but not required.
