Looking for an ambitious UNIX Systems Administrator for a right to hire position with a Fortune 500 Financial Industry Leader.
The UNIX Systems Administrator will provide more complex technical services for the computing infrastructure to ensure technical health and security of Hewlard Packard (HP) HP-UX enterprise computing environment server administration. The Administrator will be responsible for HP, SUN and/o Linux Server Support, server builds and implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the servers. They will also have experience in Change Management Disciplines, Performance, and testing in an enterprise environment. The Systems Administrator will ensure a stable operating environment and maximum utilization of system facilities.
Required Skill Set:
- Minimum three years related experience
- Technical Competencies: solution design, solution development, technical performance, technology networking & communication
- Experience with Veritas Volume Manager, SuperDomes, and clustering solutions a plus
- Systems Administrator Personal Competencies: problem solving, leadership, adaptability, organizational skills, management skills, self-development, teamwork, communication & interpersonal skills
- IT Business Competencies: project leadership, product, services & solutions management
- Associates or technical degree, in a computer related field required
- 4-year college degree in MIS or Computer Science preferred, or equivalent experience/technical certifications
