Description: (day to day duties)
Design, develop and implement systems applications for IBM WebSphere Application Server, Apache, HTTP Server, and the associated products on AIX/Solaris/Windows environment; Create, maintain and troubleshoot MQ local/remote Queues, Topics and listener ports providing a messaging backbone for hundreds of transactions; Upgrade WebSphere on different platforms applying FixPacks and cumulative fix packs, and standardize builds across all environments; Administer and support J2EE enterprise-based distributed applications over a wide range of operating environments across several web farms for high volume and secure transactions; Administer, configure, and tune Apache webservers for static content; Perform workload management, load balancing, cloning/clustering, Nodes/Data Sources/Virtual Hosts setting up, Servlet engines configuring, and session managing; Monitor and tune performance Tivoli Performance Viewer (TPV) and analyze the performance of Java heap; Work with Rational ClearCase and PVCS for version control.
Systems Engineer needs to have:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or a closely related field plus minimum 2 years experience
