Position Details:  Senior Software Engineer

 NetEffects is seeking a Senior Software Engineer that has previous experience with middleware for one of our highly regarded clients.

 

Required Skills:

  • Three (3) plus years of OOP software design experience.
  • Experience developing real-time data acquisition and control applications - e.g. SCADA, BMS, etc.
  • Experience developing SOAP and XML Web Services, i.e. middleware.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN network programming, Client-Server, Sockets, TCP/IP, UDP, 802.11.
  • Experience with serial communications RS232 and RS485.
  • Experience using network protocol analyzers such as Ethereal and Fiddler.
  • Experience developing communications protocols such as OPC, Modbus, Lon, Bacnet, DNP, SNMP, etc.
  • Experience developing n-tier DBMS applications, data normalization.
  • Security paradigms such as SSL, encryption, WS-Security, ACL, LDAP.
  • Testing and QA procedures.
  • C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, C/C++, Delphi (will be trained if no experience), MS SQL Server.
  • Windows XP, CE, Vista, 2003 Server.
  • Embedded Environments (ARM, Freescale, RTOS).
  • Minimum Education Requirements.
  • BS Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics.

 

Required Skills

  • Senior level developer to work within a small IT department for a client that does middleware for building automation systems. 
  • The work environment that the Senior Developer will be joining is casual, and relaxed.
