Position Details:  Senior Cisco Engineer

NetEffects is seeking a talented Senior Cisco Engineer with strong Cisco IP Telephony, IP, T1, T3 and ISD skills for one of our highly regarded nationwide clients.

Required Skills:

·         At least five (5) years experience with network design, deployment, and support.

·         At least five (5) years experience with IPTel.

·         Total understanding of all technologies involved in this area to include, Cisco IP Telephony, IP, T1, T3 and ISDN.

·         Understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP and BGP.

·         Strong familiarity with Cisco configuration tools.

·         Knowledge of PBX and Call Center environments.

·         Knowledge of emerging network technologies and protocols

·         Working knowledge of IPT components such as Call Manager, Unity, voice gateways and gatekeepers.

·         Understanding of Call Center technologies such as IVR and ICM.

·         Must also be able to work occasional weekends and on after-hours projects.

·         Expert in IP Telephony with strong Call Manager and Unity skills.

·         Excellent communication skills, very reliable, hardworking and able to work independently.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with IPCC, C/C++, Java Script, XML, XSLT and/or Perl.
  • Certification as a CCNP, CIPT etc.  

 

Responsibilities:

·         Provide integration and maintenance services for a complex IP Telephony (IPT) and IP Contact Center (IPCC) network.

·         As a member of the team, will respond to all system problems on a 24/7 basis and take part in on-call rotation.

·         May be responsible for presenting to groups, leading discussions or driving an agenda of meetings with customers on various topics related to networking, IP routing, switching or Telephony.
