NetEffects is seeking a talented CCNA CCNP Certified Service Engineer for one of our highly regarded nationwide clients.
Required Skills:
- Certified CCNA, CCNP and MCSE or higher.
- At least two years experience with LAN and WAN systems.
- At least two years experience with basic Nortel and Cisco router commands and troubleshooting.
- At least two years experience fundamental understanding of Call Manager and VoIP systems.
- Previous proven experience in customer support, network operations, system administration.
- LAN/WAN Frame Relay Customer Servicing Cisco Router Commands and troubleshooting HPOV.
- Possess excellent communication skills and understanding of prioritizing escalation events is essential.
- Ability to follow instructions - both written and verbal.
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
- Good phone customer service skills.
- Capable of training users in NOCC applications and system fundamentals.
Preferred Skills:
- Service Engineer should have an Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities:
- Service Engineer is responsible for reactively monitoring customer data networks and providing fault isolation and remote troubleshooting.
- Perform routine tasks under the direct supervision of a more experienced Data Service Engineer.
- Act as a front-line interface to customers, accepting trouble reports and dispatching them to appropriate personnel and/or carriers.
- Reactively troubleshoot and diagnose problems on proprietary IP networks.
- Interact with carriers and customers to report events and/or resolution of events.
- Participate in tracking and prioritization of ticket-handling, including inter-shift turnover.
