NetEffects is seeking a talented CCNA Certified Network Engineer for one of our highly regarded nationwide clients.
Required Skills:
· Extensive Cisco knowledge, CCNA Certified
· At least three (3) years experience with Internet Networking and DNS
· At least three (3) years experience with Router configuration and CLI
· At least three (3) years experience with troubleshooting internet circuits
· Experience provisioning of Internet Circuits
· Working knowledge of different routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, EIGRP and traffic engineering
· Extensive technical knowledge to troubleshoot failed turn ups
· Strong routing protocol knowledge to support
· Excellent customer service skills
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with ISP
· CCNP Certification
Responsibilities:
· Network Engineer will be responsible for on time delivery of all order types for dedicated provisioning
· Ensure the customer’s circuit has connectivity to the internet
· Perform troubleshooting on customer circuit when issues arise
· Work with multiple organizations to resolve any circuit issues
· Ensure Dedicated Cisco routers are configured correctly
· Ensure customer’s router is configured correctly
· Host meetings to resolve customer circuit issues
· Responsible for on time delivery of additional services requests, including but not limited to; IP additions, BGP, and load balancing and DNS
· Perform the function of suspending or un-suspending a customer
· Turning up services for different transports: Point to Point DS1, DS3, Frame Relay, ATM, and IMA
· Resolving any problems customer might have or making sure CPE is configured correctly
