Position Details:  Senior Java GUI Developer

NetEffects is seeking a multi-faceted Senior Java GUI Developer with hands on experience to join one of the principal pharmaceutical companies worldwide.

 

Required Skills:

  • At least three (3) years experience core Java development experience (J2SE/J2EE, JMS, EJB3).
  • At least four (4) years experience working with Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs), Struts, Java Servlets, Java Server Pages (JSP), JavaScript, Spring, Hibernate, SOA, Collections API, Web Services, and XML.
  • Proficient knowledge of GUI programming with GUI libraries.
  • Participated in two or more projects successfully implemented utilizing OOD/OOP.
  • Experience with Software Estimation Techniques, WebSphere Application Server, Web Security (Authentication, Authorization, SSL Certificates) and Build tools (Ant, Maven or Cruise Control).
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Possess strong analytical skills, customer focus and in-depth technical Java experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

 
Preferred Skills:

  • Masters of Science
  • CVS and ANT experience
  • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Services development (JAX-WS, Axis, etc.)
  • Rules Engines (JBoss Rules, ILog JRules, etc.)
  • Experience using agile development methods (Test-driven development, Scrum, XP, etc.) on multiple engagements. Successful application development utilizing iterative/incremental approaches.
  • Experience with web development: Ruby, Rails, MVC, JavaScript, Ajax, Social Networks.
  • Pathway-based software, Expression analysis software, Pathway visualization tools, Simulation programs, Interaction, Network inference tools, Metabolic pathways including Signaling pathways, Protein-protein interactions, Genetic, regulatory pathways
  • Experiences with open source/commercial network analysis software applications/ Programming Libraries such as Cytoscape, GenoLink, Network Workbench, VisANT, Graphviz, Pajek, OSPREY, UCINET, Vizster, WilmaScope, NAViGaTOR, BioLayout, Walrus, InFlow, NetMiner, GraphExplore, Chisio, ONDEX,  NetworkX, PIANA, Bioconductor, JGraph, yFiles, JGraphT,  JUNG, eXpanda, Prefuse, OpenJgraph, LGL, etc.
