NetEffects is seeking an entry level Security Monitor for one of our highly regarded nationwide clients in North Carolina.
Required Skills:
· At least two (2) years Cisco Networking skills
· At least two (2) years experience with TCP\IP, Unix (Solaris/Linux), Checkpoint Firewall, Cisco Pix Firewall, VPN Experience (Nortel/Cisco) and Cisco Troubleshooting and configuration
· Good Customer Service skills for internal and external customers with the ability to follow mandated Standard Operating Procedures, process flows, and Network Documentation
· Candidate must be able to work well with others, multitask efficiently, and be willing to be self sufficient in skills development growth
Preferred Skills:
· CCNA Certification
Responsibilities:
· Security monitor oversees the daily responsibility of managing the Remedy based ticketing system and incoming phone support
· Security monitor will oversee circuit testing and possible vendor engagements for hardware/software dispatches
· Security monitor will be positioned in a Security Operations Center performing entry level troubleshooting skills
