The thing that I most admire about NetEffects is its people – the back office people that make the company tick, who were always there to help me out. NetEffects is seeking a talented Software Engineer that has experience with Intec billing packaged software modules for one of our highly regarded fortune 500 clients.
Required Skills:
· At least two (2) years experience with Billing application functionality, and Intec billing packaged software modules (i.e., Intermediate, SingleView).
· Packaged application software implementation methodology including Design, Package Configuration, Customization, and System Testing.
· Experience with MS Office including Visio, Unix shell scripting, Client-Server architecture, PERL (or similar) scripting, Oracle DBMS, Tuxedo, Weblogic.
· Experience with all phases of systems development lifecycle: Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, and Implementation.
Preferred:
- Experience with Business Objects / Hyperion, COBOL, DB2, Websphere and PL/SQL.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the technical planning, design, programming, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of systems application software.
- Accountable for software quality and service level agreements.
- Perform systems analysis and design of projects.
- Analyze information systems encompassing potential user contact, analysis of goals, problem complexity and feasibility study, logic design and detailed systems flowcharting, analysis of input-output flow, hardware study, forms layout, resource evaluation, and cost and time analysis.
- Participate in implementation, including maintenance, user allocation, file design, coding, error removal, logic optimization, systems re-evaluation, testing, user approval, final corrections, and program and run time documentation.
- Write, debug, diagram, create flowcharts, code, and document programs.
- Prepare technical project plan, incorporating development costs and tasks of the various technical components.
- Support Disaster Recovery testing.
- Evaluate requests to determine technical feasibility, develop technical alternatives and recommend optimal technical solutions.
