NetEffects is seeking Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer for one of America’s leading companies in the Midwest.
Required Skills:
- At least four (4) years experience PL/SQL, SQL development and tuning, and data modeling
- Demonstrated experience with high level system design, data modeling, generation and tuning of PL/SQL
- Demonstrated experience loading flat files into an Oracle database using PL/SQL
- Ability to understand relational data models and able to migrate data from flat files to a relational model
- Ability to write Shell scripts
- Proficient in SQL loader
- Ability to analyze data and data structures
- Experience in business analysis and familiarity with business processes and terminology.
- Ability to create code for complex database views
- Ability to use creative approaches to solve technical problems
Preferred:
- Some DBA skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop plans to copy data from original extracted system to a holding place and then copy into the destination system
- Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer will have to develop a system to keep track of these files, their versions, and design a way to automate
- Act as primary person responsible for migrating and transforming data from numerous locations and systems to feed a newly developed CRM system with an Oracle data store
- Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer will be responsible for analyzing source data and determining procedures for migrating that data into CRM database
- Create PL/SQL code to map, transform, and migrate data
- Research different internal data feed locations and define procedures to move data from one system to another
- Perform necessary updates and calculations to the source data as needed
