NetEffects is seeking a talented VMware Administrator for one of our highly regarded Fortune 500 clients.
Required Skills:
· At least three (3) years experience in Network Architecture/Topologies, Microsoft Office, Windows Servers (NT, 2000 Adv., 2003, etc), Microsoft Project, IP Networking, Visio, SAN, Remedy
· VMware experience with SAN and NetApp technologies
· VMware 3 to 3.5 migration experience
· VMware 3.5 storage migration experience
· VMware, ESX, VI3, HDS, P2V, DMZ
Job Responsibilities:
· VMware Administrator will conduct environmental evaluation, coordination, scheduling, and execution of VMWare upgrade from VI3 to 3.5
· Conduct environmental evaluation, coordination, scheduling, and execution of 25-host migration from Hitachi HDS SAN to NetApp
· VMware Administrator will produce environmental architecture and standard operating procedure documentation
· VMware Administrator will conduct presentation of migration plans and knowledge transfer to administration, operations teams, and management
