The thing that I most admire about NetEffects is its people – the back office people that make the company tick, who were always there to help me out. The other thing I most admire about NetEffects is corporate philanthropy – I haven’t come across any organization the size of NetEffects to have a person dedicated solely for this.

NetEffects is seeking an experienced Senior Application Data Architect /Senior Database Administrator for one of our highly regarded clients.
Required Skills:
- Senior Application Data Architect /Senior Database Administrator will have five (5)or more years of experience designing and developing database structures (DDL) in both operational and relational database systems (such as DB2) on a variety of host platforms (AIX, z/OS, Windows).
- Three (3) years of experience working with application development teams to design and develop database objects.
- Two (2) years data modeling experience (exposure to modeling tools such as ERwin or PowerDesigner considered a plus).
- Senior Application Data Architect /Senior Database Administrator will have five (5)or more years of experience in database administration or similar Discipline.
- Experience with installing and tuning databases systems software.
- Expert knowledge in application design and how application systems interface with subsystems.
- Data modeling, transaction systems, applications modeling in an application system, SQL, DDL, and basic performance tuning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Senior Application Data Architect /Senior Database Administrator works at the highest level of all phases of database management.
- Participates in the selection and testing of database management software.
- Takes responsibility for all activities related to the administration of computerized databases and for the backup and recovery of all databases.
- Maintains database dictionaries, standards and procedures, and integration of systems through database design.
- Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with management.
- Acts as project leader and consults with/advises users of the various databases.
- Maintains professional relationships with other companies and vendors and good relationships with client areas, performance management areas and storage administrators.
- Senior Application Data Architect /Senior Database Administrator performs a variety of other duties as assigned.
