Position Details: Lead Application Developer

NetEffects is seeking a multifaceted Lead Application Developer for one of our local highly regarded companies. NOT A CONTRACT POSITION.
Required Skills:
- At least five (5) years experience in a complex business and information systems environment.
- Seven (7) years experience developing web-based application solutions.
- Experience in object oriented development and design, including AOP.
- Experience developing technical design specifications in a structure development methodology.
- At least five (5) years of experience developing applications that utilize an Oracle or MS SQL Server DBMS.
- Prior experience in an agile methodology.
- Detailed analysis and design with projects implementing Struts, Spring and Hibernate.
- Deep understanding of OOA/OOP design patterns.
- Project management and planning skills.
- Knowledge of directory services including LDAP.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or other quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
Responsibilities:
- Lead Application Developer assists the Application Development management team with the creation of broad based technology direction and standards to achieve cost-effective adoption of emerging technologies.
- Lead Application Developer will provide research analysis as directed of technologies used to develop in-house application solutions as well as connection of in-house applications to established application vendors.
- Lead Application Developer delivers lead-level expertise and support in resolving customer application issues.
- Assists with the creation and maintains technology standards for web applications, internet, intranet, extranet, web portal and content management.
- Provides technical expertise on systems, market trends, technology directions, and product directions as directed.
- Lead Application Developer assists with the development of educational plans for application development information systems resources to ensure that skills are well developed and maintained.
