Position Details:  Application Architect (Java)

NetEffects is seeking a multi-faceted Application Architect for one of our highly regarded clients.

 Required Skills:

  • Must be a willing and able to become a full time employee. NOT A CONTRACT POSITION.
  • Seven (7) plus years experience with application development with Java.
  • At least five (5) years J2EE experience with large scale enterprise class projects.
  • Possess strong analytical skills, customer focus and in-depth technical architecture ability.
  • Expertise with JSP/Servlets, JDBC, J2EE application servers, Web-services, WSDL, SOAP, RDBMS, JMS, XML/XSL, Spring, Hibernate, AOP.
  • Experience with Portlets, JSR168, WSRP.
  • Strong knowledge of .Net, ASP, C++, C#.
  • BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of experience and formal education.
  • Detailed work in OOA/OOD including design patterns such as decorator, observer, wrapper, and abstract factory.
     

Responsibilities:

  • Application Architect will prepare technical reports and perform the analysis of emerging web standards.
  • Act as a Technical lead/mentor for other junior developers on the team.
  • Application Architect will direct all design and code reviews in order to maintain consistent design and ensure best practices are in place.
  • Application architect will research, design, and assist with the implementation of all web services technologies.
  • Will prepare and provide training to application developers, testers and analysts.
  • Application Architect will serve as a consultant to departments in the process of strategic planning, operational analysis, business design, solution implementation and project management as it relates to assigned projects.
