Position Details:  SharePoint Developer

Location:

NetEffects is seeking a SharePoint Developer for one of our highly regarded clients.

Required Skills:

  • At least three (3) years administration experience in a Windows Server environment.
  • At least three (3) years application development experience.
  •  Experience in building and supporting SharePoint applications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of application/data security best practices.
  • Intermediate knowledge of collaborative applications, portals, enterprise search, enterprise content management, and business process and forms.
  • Experience with SQL 2005, .NET environments, and extranet.
  • Bachelors Degree with a major in Information Technology, Computer Science or related fields.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely issue resolution for all SharePoint application requests, including permission changes, content management alterations, workflow requests, small enhancements, and other change requests.
  • Provide SharePoint development services to assist with SharePoint application development initiatives.
  • Provide various services including addressing service tickets, providing after hours production support, triaging SQL or network problems related to issues/outages of SharePoint applications.
  • SharePoint Developer will initiate process improvement where areas of SharePoint application support could be documented and resolved by Level 1 or Level 2 support technicians.
  • Evaluate areas of repeated operational SharePoint application support that could be improved through enhancements to the application.
  • SharePoint Developer will assist SharePoint/MOSS administrator and developers by providing technical research, consultation and support services in various areas
  • Develop and document processes, procedures, and best practices related to the maintenance of SharePoint applications.
