NetEffects is seeking a Security Operations Specialist in the St. Louis area!
Required Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience, with a strong focus on Security
- Experience with CheckPoint Firewall/Provider-1 NGX, Intrusion Detection Software, Content Management, Vulnerability Scanning Software, Email Security tools, Data Loss Prevention, Anti-virus, BIND 9, and Encryption
- Experienced in the areas of planning, implementation, administration, troubleshooting, and documentation of network security solutions
- Experience in troubleshooting all layers of the OSI Model
- Advanced knowledge of network security concepts, best practices, and procedures
- CheckPoint NGX CCSA / CCSE Certification
- CISSP, ISSEP, or equivalent experience
- BS/BA in MIS, computer science or related business discipline
Required Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of Windows client/server, Unix/Linux systems, and VMware
Responsibilities
- Security Operations Specialist will perform daily security monitoring activities such as log reviews for critical security applications along with event correlation on security events across multiple systems.
- Security Operations Specialist will assist with proactive monitoring, detection and mitigation of virus, malware, and spyware issues.
