Required Skills:
- Five or more years of experience in software design and development.
- Including two years of practical Java programming experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java programming, Java Servlets, Web Services, Enterprise Java Beans, JDBC, Java Server Pages, and SOAP.
- Strong grasp of UML and design patterns.
- Excellent understanding of Internet web application architectures and internet application design.
- Strong database/SQL skills.
- Ability to make educated, critical judgments in the absence of complete information.
- As the technical driving force behind the project, demonstrated leadership skills, project management experience and strong communication skills are required.
- Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with middleware products such as MQ Series.
- Familiarity with GWT or AJAX.
Responsibilities:
- Develop software solutions using J2EE GWT, and Web Services technologies.
- Work closely with project managers and clients to plan and execute successful software implementations.
- Design software solutions using the Unified Modeling Language.
- Plan and conduct formal reviews of the software architecture, design, and source code to ensure overall quality of the solution.
