Listening To Music On The Job Improves Productivity, Job Satisfaction Younger Workers Say
There’s a new trend with younger workers that older managers need to be aware of, and take into consideration in their own workplace.
A recent survey by an international human capital company, showed that:
- 32% of the work force listen to music on their iPod, MP3 player or some other personal music device while working.
- Of those who listen, 79% feel that the music improves their job satisfaction and/or productivity.
- Among workers 18-24 years of age who listen to music at work, 90% said their job satisfaction and/or productivity improved; 89% of workers in the 30-39 age group agreed.
