Jack Bader elected to X Prize Executive Committee
X Prize creates it's first Executive Committee to improve its management structure

For the first time in its history the X PRIZE Foundation has elected an Executive Committee, and Jack Bader, president of NetEffects, was one of the five X PRIZE trustees elected to the committee.
The committee has the full authority of the Board of Trustees and is empowered to act between normal board meetings. The committee will meet monthly and function as an executive management team for the staff of the X PRIZE Foundation.
“Our company is grounded in being involved in, and helping, our community,” explains Bader, “Being elected to this committee will help continue this commitment at a local and national level and will help me attain one of my life goals...which is to orbit the earth!”
Additional members of the executive committee include:
- Anousheh Ansari, Trustee of the X PRIZE Foundation, Co-Founder of Prodea, Inc. and lead representative of the Ansari Family for which the Ansari X PRIZE was named.
- Robert K. Weiss, Vice-Chairman of the X PRIZE Foundation and one of the most prolific movie producers in Hollywood including "The Blues Brothers" and the "Scary Movie" series.
- Gregg E. Maryniak, Secretary of the X PRIZE Foundation, Vice President of the St. Louis Science Center Planetarium and recently the Executive Director of the X PRIZE Foundation since its inception in 1996.
- Barry Thompson, Chairman of the Finance Committee of the X PRIZE Foundation, founder of Tervela, an enterprise messaging and integration company.
