You’ve Made This Person Very Happy, Thanks!
Getting employees to turn in their timesheets, on time, is the bane of every company, and NetEffects is no different. Only here, we have a smarter, cleverer time sheet administrator.
August 22, 2008
Each Monday at 4 p.m. an email is sent to anyone who has not sent in their timesheet for the last week. We’ve tried many methods over the years to get people to send in their timesheets…in a timely fashion.
Lately the ‘keeper of the sheets’ has used humor to pique your conscience:
“Get up get a drink, stretch and then ‘get your timesheet in.’”
“Please help me be employee of the month – get your timesheet in.”
The humor method has turned out to be very effective.
Believe it or not, there is actually a person behind timesheet@neteffects.com who is the author of all this humor.
But alas, we cannot reveal her identity to keep her from being harassed, so all questions about timesheets are routed through PJ, our HR manager, who then can take your issues up with our "unknown" timesheet administrator.
And that brings us back to the photo (on the right) of the masked employee: the administrator’s humor has been so effective President Jack Bader awarded this person with our first internal employee of the month award.
Congratulations to…(whoops, almost slipped there).
Seriously, thanks to everyone who sends in their timesheet each week by Monday – it makes us infinitely more efficient and looks great to our clients that we have our act together … and it ensures YOUR paycheck is accurate and delivered to you on time.
