Consultant Spotlight: Mike Rubin

July 25, 2009

Featured consultant, Mike Rubin is best described by his Recruiter, Amy Fields: “Mike is a talented IT professional who can manage the tough projects. His positive outlook and open communication style make him a pleasure to work with and I am excited that he is part of the NetEffects team.”Currently, Mike is a consultant with one of our St. Louis clients. His position draws upon the skills he has obtained as a Project Manager and years of IT experience. With over 20 years of Information Technology experience, Mike has the knowledge and experience that would make him an asset to any client. His impressive career history is testament to the bright future, we here at NetEffects see in store for Mike.Outside of work Mike’s inner artist keeps him busy with singing and photography. Mike is a member of The Ambassadors of Harmony, an award winning Barbershop Chorus. They have a weekly rehearsal and it obviously has paid off. Mike knows that practice pays: “It culminated in a record-setting gold-medal victory earlier this month at the International Competition in Anaheim. Nearly thirty choruses from around the world competed in the annual event. This marks our second gold medal, having also won in 2004.”Mike’s photography has also been recognized as sincere artistry. He combined his love of classic cars and his knack at working the camera to produce artistic pictures that were shown in galleries in Palo Alto and Santa Clara, California.Mike has been married to his wife, Deann, for over 38 years. She, like Mike, is an artist (only full time). She even has a one-woman show coming to the University City Public Library, opening September 4. Besides their mutual love for art, they also both fawn over Milo, their cat, and ruler of the roost.
