NetEffects Experiences Growth Milestone;

Hires Its 200th IT Consultant

St. Louis, Nov. 29, 2004 – NetEffects, one of St. Louis’ largest locally owned contract-staffing firms, reached a unique milestone this month — hiring its 200th consultant. The new hires make NetEffects one of the few locally owned information technology consulting firms to have more than 200 contract consultants.This is a 32% increase from the 152 consultants it had six months ago, and a 1900% increase from the ten consultants it had in 1995, its first year in business. "This is an incredible milestone for our company," explains NetEffects President Jack Bader, "While many IT staffing companies like ours are struggling, we continue to grow and remain profitable."The company’s growth has been sparked by an increasing demand for highly skilled IT staff in many new disciplines, and its expansion into other than traditional staffing areas such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical and government services, where demand is growing but companies do not want to take on the cost of permanent staff. The flexibility of being able to expand and contract technical staff as demand warrants is becoming more desirable for growing companies who see flexibility as essential to meeting global competition.NetEffects was started by Bader in 1995 and has grown into a $20 million business, with more than 200 consultants working for clients, many of them Fortune 500 companies. The company employs a sales and recruiting staff of nearly 20.
