Supporting Metro Arts in Transit & Scroogebusters

November 9, 2007

Continuing our corporate philosophy of community involvement and a commitment to “give back,” NetEffects has been active in two major charitable efforts in recent months:

Metro Arts In Transit

Through a program sponsored by Chesterfield Arts, NetEffects staff and families joined in to “Make Your Mark” by helping to paint a Metro bus, a traveling piece of art that will be used on a regular Metro route in West County.Arts in Transit is a community partnership program of Metro designed to further the bus company’s mission of “regional economic development through excellence in transportation” by forging community partnerships and creating community-oriented transit environments that are customer friendly and aesthetically appealing. AIT accomplishes this through a place making approach that integrates public art and urban design with community and enhancement initiatives. Since its inception in 1986, AIT has completed more than 100 public art installations and community enhancements.NetEffects served as a sponsor for the day-long event. Our families had a ball while raising money for the Chesterfield Arts program, a non-profit community arts organization dedicated to fostering the growth of the visual, performing and literary arts within West County. Scroogebusters Scramble for Kids

NetEffects is proud to have participated in this not-for-profit charitable organization comprised of volunteer AT&T employees devoted to helping underprivileged children throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. Since 1969, support of Scroogebusters activities by area businesses has assisted many not-for-profit agencies and organizations that serve these children. In 2005 alone, Scroogebusters assisted 50 children agencies with over $60,000 in contributions, and 15 percent of that was raised by the Scramble for Kids Golf Tournament!
