Thank You from CPOD Kids' Team 2014[/caption]For many teens, summer is the time to check-out and relax. But for others, it's a time to explore interests and begin charting the path for the future - colleges, training, and eventual careers.Neteffects had the opportunity to support the efforts of a free technology camp, offered through Linn State University's CPoD (Computer Professions on Demand) program which immerses high school students in several career path options the technology industry has to offer. The program was such a success this year, that the Jefferson City News tribune published a story regarding the camp.We received a very nice thank you note from the student participants, picture of their group, and recognition award for our involvement; but just knowing that we're able to help bring programs such as CPoD to life is the real joy we get. These programs have a direct impact - shaping potential future IT professionals."Thanks to Neteffects for being a main sponsor of our CPoD camp that allows High School students to gain real experience in web design, video recording, project management, application development, problem solving/critical thinking and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Investing in students is investing in our IT future." ~ Jill Hansen, Sr. VP of Application Development - CTS Inc. (Jill has been involved with CPoD for 13 years, and approached Neteffects with the opportunity to sponsor the camp. )No, THANK YOU Jill, for the opportunity to enrich and infuse the lives of students with technology! We're proud to be associated with organizations and professionals who are building the future of our industry: one impressionable young mind at a time...
